Mike Arrington writes,"Voicemail is dead". He points out that today an increasing number of people are just plain avoiding voicemail. It takes much longer to listen to a message than read it. And voicemail is usually outside of our typical workflow, making it hard to forward or reply to easily. Personally, I subscribe to this view. To me,voicemail looks anachronistic. Text messaging is the best way to reach each other, in the absence of not being able to talk. Blackberry instant messaging /iPhone's visual voicemail scores high as well. I endorese the thought ,"Voicemail is dead. Please tell everyone so they’ll stop using it".
