I Just finished posting Tom Evslin's view on Telephony, when I came across this Niklas Zennström-(CEO & CO-Founder of Skype) presentation delivered at VON Canada. Niklas presents lucidly on the topic saying,as broadband becomes ubiquitous, most voice calls will migrate to the Internet using free software, on the edges of the Internet, that remove barriers to more natural forms of communication. This means that moving forward :
- Many Networks Become One
- Phones Are Becoming Computers
- Telephony Is Becoming An App
And concludes
• Voice is becoming a software application
• New rules with software
