Siebel's first quarter performance has a new victim – its CEO – the well known Mike Lawrie. Siebel announced that board member George Shaheen will take over as CEO. Shaheen is former CEO of Webvan, and led Andersen Consulting (now, Accenture) before that. Quite unexpected,as Mike seemed determined to make the transition of Siebel towards providing on-demand solutions. Siebel seemed to be taking bold and aggressive moves in making the transition happen and the plans looked good. There's more in the Siebel press release.Mr. Shaheen says the emphasis shall be on execution and tap the front office market space. We recently covered Siebel On Demand : Intent To Deliver Entire Siebel Product Line In Hosted Form!! covering siebel's aggrssive forays into on-demand comouting and Bruce cleveland’s interview gives insights into siebel’s foray’s into ondemand also had some personal attacks on founder and chairman Tom Siebel.
