The 2004 list of billionaires is out The no. of billionaires have gone upto 587 from 476 last year - analysts are expecting that the growth in the list next year is tied to Russia's growing oil industry and Bush's tax cuts on dividends. In the top slot? Bill Gates. Ranking No. 1 for 10 years running, Gates is now worth $46.6 billion. In relatively close second is Warren Buffet, who's pushing $43 billion. This year, wealth wizard J.K. Rowling, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin and 63 other new faces join the ranks of the wealthiest people on the globe.
