Nandan Nilekani on Infosys Growth & Differentiation Strategy via BWorld

Nandan says, "If you look at Infosys strategy now, it is rapid growth with rapid differentiation."The challenge for Infosys is to manage growth with differentiation to protect our margins in the long term. In the last 12 months, Nandan says, Infosys has done several things to add value to our business. He also explains modular sourcing as,"In the traditional model, companies would hand over the entire IT department to one outsourcing company, say GM handed over its entire IT to EDS many years back. In that model the client abdicates his entire IT strategy to someone else. The new model is that companies don't abdicate their IT strategy. They retain control of the strategy and decide the technology roadmaps. Here they outsource selectively to global vendors. This is a different management approach to outsourcing". An excellent insightful interview.
